As just a bit of side knowledge for those unfamiliar and curious, microwaves actually work by sending out a series of, ofc, microwaves from different directions. As water is a dipolar molecule, having an angle of ~105˚ between hydrogen atoms, the alternating waves cause the water molecule to rotate back and forth. It is this friction that heats the food. Coincidentally, it also this phenomenon that makes it a good idea to splash a little water on many dishes before you heat them up in the microwave, because it will cause those molecule to heat up the food, and to turn into steam, giving a bit more moisture to the dish, making it less likely to dry out. Hope some of you find that interesting!
