True, and I am all for nuclear as well, but I don't really think greta had much of an impact on the general stance towards nuclear. I know she's against nuclear, but I don't think her push for renewables was a deciding factor in nuclear being phased out. Nuclear was already being phased out since the 80s (at least here in germany) - even though nowadays the "final destination" for nuclear waste is pretty much a solved problem, which was considered to be the biggest problem for the longest time.

And even though nuclear is more or less the greenest solution there is, the uranium has gotta come from somewhere and as France has found out, the generators also have to be cooled, which is difficult during ever hotter heatwaves.

All in all, I think a push for renewables still isn't a bad thing. A push for nuclear would be better, but there's just too many people you can't convince I'm afraid. Old ***s think that nuclear is the devil - and they will think so until they're in their graves.

So while I do get the meme (after remembering that Greta is against nuclear as well), I just think Exxon/Shell any other big oil corp would be a better fit for the meme, as they are driving record-breaking profits right now.

I don't get this meme. Wouldn't renewables and clean energy precisely be the thing that would help Europe right now? Isn't the reliance on gas and fossil fuels exactly the problem that's ***ing EU citizens now?

Naja also so in den ländlicheren Gegenden kommst ohne Deutsch ned weit. Und das gebrochene Englisch was ich teilweise so auch in den größeren Firmen hör is jetzt nicht grade das "yellow of the egg". Aber kann sein dass das natürlich in den Großstädten anders is ^^

Aber dafür ist es halt eine sehr interessante Sprache und während es auf einem hohen Level zwar sehr kompliziert wird, ist grundlegendes "Alltagsdeutsch" nicht all zu schwer. Außerdem nehmen wir doch eh immer mehr Englisch her, irgendwann wird Deutsch sowieso nich mehr notwending um in Deutschland zu leben ^^
