Jokes aside why did the pokemon games get so easy? Is kids getting dumber not just a boomer meme? I dont know since what generation this is the case but in the recent ones your rival takes the starter who is weak to yours and heals you before fights, like wtf.

Was the difficulty of pokemon games ever a reason for people to not buy them? I agree that its usually about making more money but did reducing the diffifulty really increase the target audience? Unlike alot of the other games you listed it was never "burn through your shekels in an arcade" type of hard just needed a bit more brain.
