Now seriously I don't get the people that complain about this kind of stuff but if you ask if they ever used a TV from the 50's for example they look at you weird.

As a kid my favorite thing was my grandmother's cassette-player/recorder and I owned legit cassettes with music on them, and cartoons on VHS tape. That's how old I am. At school we used floppy disks to hand in homework. Though that's probably also the fault of being Eastern European and not technologically advanced at the time...
