yeah i had to share this cuz, even being a well versed competitor, i havent been taught this nor seen it. ***ing great move

yeah ill argue that again. the grip a judoka has will not let go. like ever. we have clamps instead of hands. i was 8 and had a stronger grip than my father. also as soon as the grip lands the move is started. the weight is already being placed on the arm. maaaybe if the victim were to be able to out muscle the attacker and get him to fall backwards before the move starts is another way i could see it happening. but the foot placement wont allow the victim to do so unless he was a ogre. *freed

also the flying armbar needs you to be closer and higher on the body. it might actually be easier to do this move? and the position the attacker ends in is way more dominant than on your back so if there is a mistake it just takes switching your hips to get top control.

again let me argue with you. itd be easier if you read the comments buuuut here it goes. yes there are other ways. no it would work on anyone who doesnt know this technique cuz how are you gonna counter it? reach across with your free arm? oooh wait now youre more off balance and falling harder. hit him with the arm hes got? oooh waaait now your deeper into the arm lock. step into it and brace? oooh ok, fighter will just switch to another armbar and dislocate your elbow. its fast, this is a demonstration for a class. ONLY way i could see someone getting out of it is freeing the arm somehow. maybe do like a rubber guard cuz it uses the fact someone will react to work so if instead of fighting you give into it and make the attacker overcompensate he would maybe make a mistake big enough for you to wiggle out. ugh. learn more fighting like the last guy son.

FINALLY SOMEONE WHO KNOWS SOMETHING ABOUT THIS! i actually would rather this one. i meant it does take less motion to do the standard armbar but with a seriously trained judoka they would expect it from anyone doing the arm jump. i saw this and was like "damn havent seen this before" so i decided to share it. if i were the victim of this move i wouldnt of known how to react, and probably would of been curious to see it anyways and let it happen haha.

try it with a friend. i guarentee you will fail. the motion wont allow your extra arm to stop this, and when you do try your gonna end up with your face hitting the ground harder cuz you cant fight the motion you get moved off balance. use the arm in the lock, you are just putting your arm deeper into the lock. then its just sissy taps and not enough to ko someone anyways. this move is fast.

the motion of the throw still happens. it also gives the arm for the armbar. might not be so pretty but the lock still happens.

i say ney. it off sets ones balance enough that they cant react. look at the foot on the hip and weight set on the fronbt foot. 2 limbs are immobile as soon as you start the move. if they dont fall. you spiral fracture the forearm or damage the wrist and elbow.
