yeah... the nameless king is a mean one, I only tried to solo him once, my first fight against him, and then I killed him with a few friends, because we were playing together anyway and I just wanted to see how it goes on my own first. But don't worry, it will get worse :)

I agree with you about the overall difficulty of DS3 compared to 1.
The basilisks can be hard, but are also easily killed, if you stay very mobile and aware of your sorroundings.
By that I mean that death is certain if you get stuck on a tree.
happened to me more often than I want to admit.
The ones coming up from behind in Ithryll Dungeon, while you fight a Mimic is the hardest basilisk-situation in the game imo.
And to come back to the knights: I think they are harder in ds 1 because you don't really have a ground to fight them melee, in ds3 you've got ground to spare to kill them, even though they are more and harder to kill.

Then "good" isn't the right word to describe yourself. Personally I found the two silver knights in the true Anor Londo of ds1 much harder than those suckers.
