I just don't see this happening. Today you bitcoin is worth 100K in two weeks it's worth 70K. There's also the possibility it pumps in price and suddenly it's worth 30% more. Why would either party (buyer or seller) want to use this as a medium for transaction? Too volatile.

Sorry to break your bubble, but no one speaks of Germany, especially not in a good light

US politics just feel extremely lazy theater, all the talking heads have names to suggest their trait. Like Loomer : Looney here as an example. Often times I stumble upon these twits and initially think it's lazy parody, alas I'm proven wrong.

It's insane actually, the amount of 'I've got nothing to hide' people out there.
If (when) an actual system where you have an allocated amount of CO2 emission per year get introduced, I'll be on safe. If they even implement it so that going under your allocation means a monetary rebate, I'll be gaining money.
However, I would never advocate for such a system, even when it would be in my own best interest to do so. Instead I would be against and try to advise others how to fool it to make the data null.

Seeing this meme brings my hypothesis into mind: We create Sea PeopleIt's quite simple really, just 100,000 years of waiting in a controlled environment, but simultaneously we can test multiple things, such as will an isolated population create religion, is morality emergent from the soul or from society, does 'ancestral memory' exist, how does a language form?
The idea is quite simple:
>we create a massive pool with no actual dry land, the shallowest place is still in water but you won't drown if you lay down to rest
>we populate this pool with 100 infants and 10 caretakers
>IMPORTANT: the caretakers will not communicate with the infants, they will only make sure the infants survive until adolescence
>the pool is equipped with two food tubes, one in the deep end and one at the resting area
>at regular intervals the tubes dispense food
>the deep end tube dispenses better and more valuable food
>this part will create a necessary competition: the strongest diver will get the most valuable food and will be the top choice to mate with
>over thousands of years we observe this new society
>we will learn how language forms, is morality hard coded in us, does the original inhabitants have 'ancestral memory' (knowing there is life outside the pool, knowing intuitively how to use complex tools, how to solve simple puzzles etc)
>will they begin a religion of tube worship?
>ULTIMATELY though this experiment is aimed to create a new subspecies of humans
>the hypothesis is that lung apacity will be larger, the skin between your toes, fingers will slowly mold together into a flipper, perhaps gills?
I'll attach a draft of the habitat for reference.
