The irony on the placebo meme is that it claims to be a meme while simultaneously claiming not to be one, since the placebo effect would come from the fact it is not a meme but psychologically induces the effect of one, however, given the fact it has that irony, the placebo meme turns itself on a meme for relaying on that irony for the upvotes, since if it didn't claim you'd upvote it, you'd not suffer from the placebo effect, hence, the placebo meme is not placebo itself, but instead, a reverse psychology ironic meme, disguising itself as placebo so it can make one pretend he suffered from that effect to support its comedy.
