It's a masterpiece. Especially the 2nd part is awesome. The atmosphere is brilliant. It's oppressive and disturbing during the whole film and the protagonist is the perfect cast

It's acutally not uncommon. The full blindness must've been a dissciation linked to a primarly morbid gain (and adherence due to advantages over secondary morbid gains). These points lose relevance with alzheymer advance and what remains is the real anatomical partial blindness. Hope it's understandable. I'm not a native speaker
