Thanks i hate hamsters, unholy abominations that should not exist, just get a mouse, they are smart as a rat and actually recognize you and get attached, they also make cute sounds, oh and they are cheap and need less space... i left a cage of mine open so she was just wandering around the bathroom and in the end always returned back to the cage to sleep.
With hamsters not so much, they are completely retarded and they just go somewhere without a sense of direction and no idea of where they came from, if you put them on the shoulder they will just jump off like they want to commit suicide, while the mice actually like being carried and petted
