After thinking about this for a few minutes, I call Bullshit on the entire story. Let's examine why for a minute.
1. US Navy warships don't have portholes.
2. Wardrooms aren't located on exterior bulkheads because they cannot be sealed in case of flooding.
3. OPS officers don't make course corrections.
4. Only the CO has the authority to call up the bridge and have them change course.
5. No CONNING officer or Officer of the Deck (those that are actually in charge of the heading of the ship) is going to make a course correction just because the OPS officer called up.

Why would start America over in the mode we kicked off 250 years ago? The mode that has free health care, but people die in ambulances outside the hospital because there isn't any room due to all the deadbeats with the sniffles.

While I'm far from supporting Obamacare, I agree with the rest of your post. Handing control of our health care to the Fed just goes against my nature. Actually, handing complete control over any facet of my life to the Fed goes against my nature. I'm much more independent than that.

In your example, you paint the successful person as bad, or evil. This isn't true of the majority of successful people. I work for a small company. The owner of the company had to invest his money, time and even put his house up as collateral to start the business. I work harder than he does during the day... now. But his investment of time in money in the past is paying off now. He isn't evil, he took a risk. He deserves to have what he's got. After all, if something were to happen to the company in this economy, it would be him that suffers the most. He is the one that would lose, while I would just lose my job and have to subsist on my savings and unemployment until I found another job. So tell me again, how did he not put in the effort?

uhh.. the name of the site is HUGELOL, not hugewawawa. We get enough of this shit everywhere else on the internet. Go post this in other places. This is where we go to get away from this.

I don't know about it being that far. More of a conservative eutopia. Williston is booming, and the median wage has more than doubled in the last few years.

In 1998, I could feed a family of 4 on $175/ month. Now, it's close to $120/ week.
