As somebody who's dabbled in making YTPs, I gotta say that like the funniest jokes in sentence mixing come kinda accidentally when trying to make something else (for me at least). After going through the footage dozens of times and finding your clips, your brain arranges them to create something incredibly stupid.
Like you said in the title - limitation breeds innovation. You can't come up with such random stuff using AI because you don't have the small puzzle pieces that you can't help but experiment with.
