He could also enjoy oiling things, like applying oil to wood pieces, etc. you are supposed to oil your wooden cooking utensils for example.

You’re comparing a service tech vs an engineer. Both trades have their own engineers that deal with separate dynamics, although fluid dynamics is actually really similar to electricity, nothing like it, but similar in a weird way, electricity flows like quantum water.
