In a way, but I mean on a large scale, led by studios, publishers and labels.

The only reason we go to a store or third party online outlet is because those are the distribution methods the industry focuses on. If the really went for it on a large scale and then removed support for other outlets gradually more and more people would use the service.

The only way to combat piracy efficiently would be to make this THE way we get music/movies, to MAKE it the mainstream outlet for entertainment.
