about your first paragraph. the romans didn't always entirely conquer other regions. they usually created satrapy's/client states to. meaning the conquered enemy had to provide money, things and soldiers. sometimes the romans only conquered a region just for a very needed resource. America secured the middle east for its oil. they now have political power over the region, but they do steal all the oil away for their own advantage. so you can say Americans are doing exactly what the romans were doing. also the US is exporting their civilization, only not by force. the Romans did export their civilization, but also not always by force. for the people who read a few summaries on the internet on the Romans, please shut the hell up. the Romans weren't all that warlike as you would think.

anyway, to be honest i don't really give a ***, it's a funny post since it shows the great similarities between the Romans and Americans. you should do some research on it, its pretty awesome.
