nono. A silent letter (-famous example) is the "D" in Django. you read it, you don't pronounce it. If you take the D away (huehue), the pronounciation stays same.
Take the "y" away in "your", and it sounds different (what is supposed to be a joke here). but it is not a silent letter in the definition of what a silent letter is.

it means that you don't hear the actual letter in the normal spoken word, so it makes no difference if you'd take it away.
in this case, there is a totally different pronounciation.
