You losers have must have had shitty education no motivation to do just look where those who were murdered lived. Of the 6 million 80% lived in Poland, Ukraine, Belarus and Russia where whole villages where torched and pitts were filled with bodies. Its called the Holocaust by bullet, in fhe camps were mostly the western European jews.

But the opportunities presented to you are also payed for by strangers? Like when you live in Kentucky and a job programme offering people an alternative to coal mines is opened up or something. Or simply your education constitutes an opportunity as well, for you, paid by others. you were deemed worthy of the fruits of someone elses labor paying for most of your education.
Apart from enjoyment from work, you still work to provide for yourself right? Would you change the things you do a lot if you wouldnt leave most material gains to others after death?
I guess im just in favor of rather radical equality, where the opportunities in life are much more evenly distributed. You can still be rich or poor, but it would be much more a result from your work, not of your parents wealth. But we can agree to disagree

So if your offspring wont inherit most of your money, you wouldnt work to set up a nice company, buy nice stuff, do fun stuff, help out others? The only reason for you to work is so your children can inherit it? So youll just sit in a slum as a hermit? And why do people without children still do anything?

You write spend, but dead people cant spend, they cant do anything. They can spend during their lifetime, give money as they please, make happy moments with their family, or choose to work less to have more of those moments. But when they die, i suggest they can only bequeth like 15% of the wealth, the rest going to government projects fighting poverty etc.
And the ones getting free money above a certain amount should be taxed for it, like 40%.

- so we agree largely on the luck thing, but you see luck as independent from ' lazyness'. I see lazyness as a result. If you have no good examples showing you some entrepeneurial spirit as part of being raised well, or maybe youre beaten down by years of low paying menial tasks, lazyness can be the result.
- is people working 2 jobs for minimum wage, barely being able to afford the bare necessities, part of their luck? If so, should it not be better if they got access to better education, to better jobs and to a starting capital, payed for by the state?
- you seem to also accept that rich people can get rich by getting lucky. That means they can also be lazy right?
- the children are punished for having caring parents in my system the same as they are awardes for just being born in a wealthy family jn your system. You see inheriting money as the default, logical option because it has always been that way, but accepting that children who did not work for it get a handout as a result of their parents death is just a widespread policy and tradition, the one i think is unfair and actually in the way of a fairer society.

So getting free money from your dead relatives is seen by you as honest labour, and really promoting productivity and arduous labour?
You imply that the poor are unfortunate and lazy, so luck and how much you work are in your eyes the determinants of wealth? Yet you do not claim luck as cause of the wealth of the rich?
People should get a fair chance from a government making the advantage of those born into riches as small as possible. That would entice the offspring of the wealthy to work harder, instead of just leisuring and getting handouts

I think that is a fully legitimate political opinion. Im more of the view that you gotta spend your money in your life, so give your children money, but i prefer wealth equality. You can already prepare them for life, raise them well, giving them a safe and loving family, access to education and social capital. That way people get a fairer chance.

Earn money because you could go to publicly funded school and live in a stable enough society
Pay sales tax because the hauling of goods requires infrastructure etc
Your proprety also requires public services, which because they are performed en masse are much cheaper than everyone getting their own pipes and sewers etc
Capital can make you money, so the government supposes your house increases in value
Inheritance tax: you should spent your money while you live, let your spoiler children work for themselves. Plus its unfair. And you dont pay it, those who you bequeeth it to do
