Polymerase is an enzyme used in the production of RNA from DNA, in a process called Transcription. And the RNA is used to produce proteins in a process called translation. In the meme it's "5' to 3'", here 5' and 3' refer to the two ends of the DNA. Transcription, which produces RNA from DNA, starts at the 5' end and proceeds to the 3' end.
