Fair enough. With text-only, irony is not always evident. I think it's true that women find it hard to tolerate when their partner shows severe weakness (even if temporary). I think it's an ancient instinct directly related to safety, plus all the current social conditioning. That being said, everyone is different due to how they were raised, how much they got in touch with their inner self etc. But if a guy is scared to open up to his partner (at least partially) maybe he chose the wrong person.
