Graphene is carbon too you know?.. So is carbon nanotubes... Well anyways, I'm not a scientist and my memory is crappy, I just know that battery is made with nano-tech out of carbon, is expected to have ~1000% (10x) bigger capacity than todays LiOn batteries, has faster charging time, etc. Technology is here already, just making is expensive as hell. And taking that there's more than one university or corporation working on better batteries I might expect there is quite few variantions (while looking for this I saw graphene + carbon nanotubes, LiOn + carbon nanotubes, etc...)
