Well the very first line of your statement is flawed. I never said that a) or b) were my opinions. It could be either, or something differently entirely. I never claimed to be correct, nor did I state they were the only two options. I am not generalising anything. I can tell you are English because of the way you spell generalising and so I would suggest you talk to other English atheists, many of whom share my views. But please remember that you are asking me to be objective, when none of my comments, nor the post itself, ever claimed to represent my views.

I would not agree that atheism - which is the lack of religion - could be considered a religion by simple logic. However most definitely everyone has their own opinion on the matter.

The fact that the atheist comments have -points and all religion+ comments have positive points, suggests to one of two things.

Either a) There are more religious people online than atheists. Fair play.

or b) Atheists do not care to vote on such matters, whereas religious people feel they need to defend themselves.

In the end, none of us are 100% certain what the truth is, my philosophy is to just spend your life doing what you love whether it be skydiving and thrill rides, or drinking beer and watching TV. You came into this world not of your own choice, enjoy it while it exists and love each other :)

Your entire argument for these points however, is based on the definition of "WE". You imagine it as a complete collective, which you cannot do. If you presume that WE means atheists as a whole, when perhaps only 1% of them will mock religious people, then your argument simply doesn't hold.

You must alter your definition of WE to represent "majority". The majority of atheist parents educate their children on all topics. They do not mock, because it isn't even on their minds. Like they would have to be thinking about it first.

Religion occupies so little of an atheists time, that mocking, judging, or killing in the name of, simply doesn't even occur to them.

No attack was taken, but before you can educate, you must be educated.

Same's the deal with atheism?

We believe in gods: No
We force our views onto our children: No
Our views hinder science: No
We mock others while having silly views of our own: No
We judge others for their views: No (not personally)
We would kill or die for something we cannot see: No
We would murder people who drew a picture of Richard Dawkins: No

Nah I think this pretty much just applies to the religious people.

Of course, this is not an insult, you may believe what you wish it is fine by me. This post is simply explaining to religious people how to go about their religion in a manner of respect.

It strikes me that whenever a religious person is defeated verbally, they resort to "I know you are but what am I". Thanks for commenting! :)
