Ok, so the idea is this: whenever someone has posted a repost and it’s proven with a link or a certain amount of upvotes on the comment saying it’s a repost, you delete it and post it on this profile. (If you guys like the idea I will post the login data in subscription).
That way, arguments like this: http://hugelol.com/lol/111407 and Fry here: http://hugelol.com/lol/240095 are no longer an excuse for reposts: the posts get on the page again so the new guys can see it. Also, the OP doesn’t need to be called a karma *** anymore for trying to share something funny.
It’s also easier to hide the reposts then: just put this account on your ignore list and you’re done. For actual reposts to be hidden, a mod must have marked it as a repost and a link needs to be found, which is harder. Older users don’t have to see the reposts, new users can see these things.
I think this idea would be particularly useful for older posts, that would cost too much work to find and have a laugh.
