I agree with you. I was just stating that it was funny/interesting that they possess all of this technology and still use weapons thousands of years old.

I see no magic here. I see the good guys with outdated weapons and the bad guys clearly have standoff capability.

So you're stating that being up close and personal battling with a frost giant is a better strategy than using a weapon that fires a projectile from a standoff range. I see no special magic weapons other than Thor's hammer. I understand it's a lot more entertaining to watch a superhero and friends in hand to hand combat with moving ice sculptures but that's not the point here.

Exactly. This proves my point. I never said they weren't skilled only that swords and axes seem a little outdated when you're teleporting through space. Even man made technology (guns/explosives) would be more effective.
