if "magic" is just technology, then why would a genie (who basically only is magic) exist and use real magic?

the aladdin one is bullsh*t as well, he's a genie so he can update his knowledge with magic the instant he got out of the lamp and he can do imitation of others by inventing them (and our real life is just his imagination) or he's communicating with other dimensions (as ours) using magic and receives tv-channels as answer :O
