Now that I finally bought my new graphics card, and have a decent gaming pc, I can finally upvote comments like this.

I thought that was "a new iPhone 6" feature, not an software update. And if the official apple page says you can put it in a microwave (although they would make their own microwave and charge it 400 dollars, because Apple), and plus if I see it on legit and trustworthy news sites, then yes, I would believe it and try it. But seeing one picture, and a few tweets from random people saying that it works? Like I said, they deserve having their phone fried if they are dumb enough to try it.
And about them learning the difference: If they have no idea what software and hardware is, and read how your phone can get waterproof from an software update, they just might believe it, because they don't know what an software update does. Maybe they think a software update is capable of doing it, because they don't have a concept of what a software actually is. For all they know, software could be a tiny little robot in your phone putting new parts in. Who knows, if they're stupid enough to put their phone in an microwave, maybe they're stupid enough to believe that.

If someone actually believes this, and tries it without doing further research, but just sees one picture and thinks it's real, they deserve the consequences.
Especially the one about iOS 7 Waterproofing your phone. I mean, how ***ing stupid do you need to be to think that a software update can make you phone waterproof? In fact, those people should die. They should not exist.
I get that some people understand nothing about technology, but it's ***ing logical that an update can't shut your phones holes where water can come in. Come on!
