The throne belongs to Stannis Baratheon by law (seeing as Robert had no trueborn children). ***s don't inherit anything (which is why Roose Bolton had Ramsay legitimized, so that he would have an heir he could marry to the fake Arya). The killing of Robert's ***s was ordered by Joffrey, not Cersei and it was probably out of spite rather than a well thought out move (which I wouldn't expect from Cersei either).
3) Gendry is rather irrelevant to the plot in the books. He might be more important for the plot of the show seeing as the authors decided to leave out pretty much everything that's happening in the world except for the stuff that happens around the main cast from the 1st season (which is less than half of the story, not to mention stupid because I don't have the slightest idea how they're gonna explain Victarion arriving at slaver's bay).
4) Gendry was never a driving force for anything other than the capture at Harrenhal which was but one episode in the larger story of Arya. You are overestimating his worth
