pubg was always borderline unplayable, now they just got some mature managers with balls to quit clinging to delusion

well its decent at generating sql scripts, models from openapi, and sometimes unit tests if the logic is simple enough.. but thats about it

couple days ago decided to again try copilot integration in visual studio.

I got a file with 10 classes, ask it to split into multiple files (yes, the quick refactoring from resharper) the bubble was spinning for 10-15 minutes but nothing happen. Later i asked to fix namespace in this project, gave up waiting after 10 minutes, but after 20 more, namespaces were magically fixed... in all solution... in a ***ing monorepo (like 120 files, i needed 6)..

but it doesnt stop there. it hijacks intellisense to provide you "useful suggestions" on how you code might wanna look. But those suggestions arent even typechecked against what youre doing, they seem to be contextless, so if you wrote account. and tried to summon intellisense its to see the props, instead its gonna vomit out 10 lines of "c# demo code" where it assumes you're working with a banking account (disregard the fact that the actual account type has none to do with that, doesnt have props for account number and so on) and intellisense wont show up at all. so not only it provides bullshit suggestion but it cancels out your intended action.

it hijacks the usual "rename everywhere" function but seems to be unable to actually perform the refactoring, so you're stuck in that dialog only being able to cancel it which reverts to previous. so that refactoring literally doesnt work anymore.

i wanna toss the computer out the window and go make some furniture

Its more or less same relation as with cpu core and gaming cafe. Where llm is the cpu core. A managed environment to configure, deploy and orchestrate ai agents. They called it 'Frontier', so tragic.
