Not really, I just don't see the point of studying if I don't get something out of it. If I feel that the subject is of no relevance to me, then I'll start befriending.

Study hard seems like a valid option.

This is only bad if you haven't studied. If I busted by ass off an got an A- I'd be ***ing pissed.
