I am mainly referring to those who choose to purchase steam sale games, indie games and humble bundle games. With a 500$ Mid-tier gaming PC, you could easily get +200 games with another 150$ using steam sales and bundles.

Though I'm not quite sure there are lots of F2P games though. I could be mistaken, but there are dozens of F2P games such as War Thunder, Warframe, TF2, WoT, RotMG and many others. A few of these might be for consoles as well, the PC variants are pretty much flat out superior.

The Car industry is not comparable to the PC industry. You have just invalidated your argument by trying to compare apples to oranges.

If you don't think I respect consoles for what they have done, you are mistaken. My childhood consisted of Mario Cart Double dash, SSBM and OoT and MM on the Gamecube. But I'm just being realistic. PC's are more powerful, they have greater performance per price ratio, they are more versatile, and they are more customize-able as well. The consoles will eventually be replaced by the PC. It is inevitable. Some day soon, PC will be cheaper then consoles, and then the console market will have no choice but to migrate or be swallowed up in progress. My only question, is which main gaming industry will choose to migrate first.
