The straw is only used as an insulator.
It is compressed and placed inside the walls. Then the walls are made of something else like wood or concrete.

Not only is it safer and doesn't destroy my skin, but the blades are cheap as f*ck.
I was hesitating with a straight razor but it seemed harder to use and riskier.
