You have to know that at the time this anthem was wrote there was nothing like a united Germany, there was no national-character. The song just implies that he (the author/singer) wants one united nation in the sense of "Germany" more than anything else. If you consider the historical circumstances this song was wrote in, there is in no point in it where it is fascist. Sadly this song was used in a false way by the national socialists and is prohibited today (with good reason).
