Yes, I think so.
Java is easy to write therefore a lot of programs are written in it but it is not effective. Just start to think about a destructor ? Java does not need that because it does that for you which only can cause trouble. The only thing I think it is good is for GUI but therefore it is better to use Qt due to its binding to C++ Classes or C structs

No that's not what I meant but you can use a lot of posix functions instead of resource destroying java shit. Not to mention the memomry allocation of java hidden by it.
