This meme isn't worded well but the point makes sense. In Europe, you can leave Paris, drive for 5 hours, and cross through Belgium into the Netherlands and arrive at Amsterdam. In many American states, especially in the West and South, you can drive for 5 hours and not even leave your state let alone your country.
