Well if we look at the original picture we can see that there is no driving wheel so we can reasonably deduce that what'ever Spodermon is pushing against is the back of the bus. so the bus is going backwards real fast, meaning the kid would've died but everyone inside the bus too, a short while later. My dear Momo, we have here a classic case of choosing to save everyone on the metaphorical trolley tracks. An anti-multi-drifting if you will.

Those lights don't look like the ones you would see on the back of a bus.
Thus, we can conclude that the artist either made a mistake in drawing the correct light or forgot to draw a steering wheel.
