it's a known fact but just surprising nibbas thought a forest can't be cut down

it wasn't cut down, they went through, and way faster than expected.
Germans had to make long lines of vehicles and trucks. They were quite afraid to be found by the allied aviation, as those would just wipe them out.
But the whole french-britain manoeuver was really badly done.

In fact, French reconnaissance aircrafts spotted the Germans going through the Ardennes on at least two independent occasions. On both cases the warnings were dismissed by their superior officers. That's something else that's often conveniently left out imo: the proportion of Europeans that actually wanted fascism.

Not to forget that french generals thought in the speed of WW I battles. The speed with which the german troops advanced was unparalleled by any army before.

I believe this is wrong overall, except maybe for the ghost division. At the large scale, I believe your statement is wrong. We already discussed how fast Napoleon went through Prussia, didn't we?

edit: also I guess your post misses the point here.
