while i get the german autobahn no speed limit memes, the real experience is much more different.
obviously, this varies from time to time, and by region, but I didn't really have fun when driving there,
we crossed the country from beligum to austria, and 60% maybe more of the autobahn was under renovation, meaning 80- 90km/h limitation, passing by a truck was hard, since the bands were not full width, more like 2 really narrow bands
we also came by 2 accidents where there was no renovation, and there was a traffic jam because of that.

obviously, the "clean", no limit parts are really good, but overall it's a very mixed experience

when i moved into the city for school, the school was literally 2,5 minutes far from my rent
i once tried to listen to a song during the "trip" but i got to the school halfway thru it, and decided it's not worth even bothering with putting the headphones on and choosing and starting a song.

lulw, it's an eastern european thing to color eggs like this.
obviously you can buy the colors now, but you can use red wine, or outer layers of an onion that you don't eat

i have a similar story with "Switzerland"
i was like 14 or 15 maybe, and back at home with my brother, we used to say out english words as they were written, even though we knew how to read and pronounce, Switzerland was one of our favourite, not sure why, i guess it's because it really different when you say it in "hungarian" VS how should it be pronounced in english
So, in school, english class, I had to read a text that had "Switzerland" in it, and I went for the "hungarian" pronunciation without even thinking, I'd realize what I did only after reading the word, some ppl looked weird at me, i was like LOL sorry, and red it again correctly right after that

yeah, and that's really sad.
maybe we are just being nostalgic as we were younger (few to no responsibilities, just living the life)
i guess i was lucky having 2 emo(ish) GF at the time, not like the ones you see in avril lavigne videos, since we are from a smaller city, but it was still something

***, it makes me mad and sad every time i think about that period
