There will be no finite time when anyone reach 100% (ie distance 0), but because of some physical interaction occours when the distance between two particles is under a quantized distance (meaning that other distances lower than that are not distinguishable), then at a certain distance (close, but not really 0) there is full interaction :-)

Compact the ends:

2=1+    ∑    (1/2^n) <=>    ∑    (1/2^n) = 2-1 = 1
     n=1→∞             n=1→∞
