You know, there was once a time when women couldn't even show their ankles in public. What, is there a point where the shortening of skirts is suddenly a bad thing? In that time period, there were probably people who would have considered the women in the picture on the left to be improperly dressed. Those people were idiots. Now you think the women on the right are improperly dressed. You are an idiot. It really doesn't matter. In a perfect society, people would be able to walk around naked if they so chose.

The clothes on the left side were culturally better, just like the fancy suits and fedoras of men.

I would do a lot of things just to live in a world like that.

I would like to live in a world where you can dress in anything. For example, I think it would be most awesome, if we could go out on the streets in renaissance-like dress and then you'd meet someone else who is wearing something with a lot of rings on it, like in Futurama :) The streets would look so much more colorful and different :)

That's actually the reason why it would be able to work. If celebrities start to wear renaissance-like clothes and futuristic and also keep the "normal" ones in their garderobes, people that probably are fashion addicts would follow, because it would be "cool" and "in". That way, just because of the celebrities, it can be possible for everyone to dress in those things, because the celebrities would also dress in many different things. Or they could start a campaign like: freedom of expression bla bla bla :P

Could be fun but it would never work. People are social creatures, most of the people do something, the rest will follow it too, just like fashion, kind of hive mind.
