In case you're too lazy to look it up, KJV: "Ye shall not make any cuttings in your flesh for the dead, nor print any marks upon you. I am the LORD."

Here's another good one in Mark 16:18 "They shall take up serpents; and if they drink any deadly thing, it shall not hurt them; they shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover." So when the Jehovah's Witnesses call, hand them a cup of drain cleaner and tell them it's a test of their faith.

Levictus 19:27: Do not cut the hair at the sides of your head or clip off the edges of your beard

Well this is something i can work with:D

I think this is connected with levictus 19:28, which means "Do not cut the hair at the sides of your head or clip off the edges of your beard [to mourn]". It was a tradition to shave facial hairs till one bled and to cut oneself in ancient times, so it was thus "forbidden".

The Jews still follow this verse literally. That's why they have the beards and curls. Christians, however, don't because they believe Jesus proclaimed the higher law, so now the law of Moses, (Jewish traditions) are no longer valid. The more you know! :)

You're right, that Jesus proclaimed a higher law - the "Do undo other, what they should do to you" (or something like that) - but he also said that he would not alter og tear down the laws of Moses - they were still valid. So if you are a christian, you ought to follow the laws of Moses aswell :)

You mean the " "e shall not make any cuttings in your flesh for the dead, nor print any marks upon you. I am the LORD. "

They way I read and understand it is, you shall not cut in your body for the dead (Like scarification I guess) or put some kind of ink on your body, because a dude who you cant see said so.

Plot twist: He's gay. :D
Seriously now, the most extreeme and prominent anti-gay people are people who are afraid of the the innermost depths of their soul... :D
They hate in order to avoid confrontation with their real self and to be accepted by the society they live in.

Also... Seriously?
The Bible was written 2thousand years ago. Yeah, sure, those rules must still be applied, I mean the world didn't change at all.

Remember kids, there is nothing more dangerous than a fanatic, be it religious or atheist.
