he's right. linking random events to a person is normal because that's how our brain works. It learned the pattern "ex gf, friends, witcher"

Friends? Well it has 10 seasons, some people liked it very much.
Witcher? Yes, it has it's flaws like a confusing timeline for people who never read the books and also some weak dialogues from time to time but an extremely catchy song and it gets better every episode.

For me it did, but only because 1st ep was awful. It should keep you entertained to the end of season 1.
