I could actually use something like this right now...

Well, sign up for it if you don't have anything that is not compatible with donating. But 250 dollars holy shet, we pay 20 euro/donation for our donors.

All you get for donating blood here are food stamps and they're not even the good kind.
Rocketfeller · 1 points · 4 years ago
I meant plasma. If your blood values are good here you can donate up to 2 times a week and get paid 20-22 euro each time.

In Germany if you are lucky you can donate 100+ times a year. That means 20 euro (a bit more) and sometimes extra bonuses of 40 and 100 euros. (After a certain amount of donations).
I have heard that about the same rules apply in Hungary. No surprise, as these rules are supposed to be globally standardised.
Note that I am talking about plasma donation, not blood.

You should donate plasma anyway, they need it. Doing it for money or books is just a bonus. I'm not for selling body parts against money (which I find deshumanizing), but plasma is needed, so......

The US became the richest country in the world thanks to that "backwards" mentality. Now it's all downhill from here.

No one is saysing the US aren't doing great economically - but I doubt that high tuition for education is what made it great. There are a lot of factors that are certainly playing a bigger role.
E.g. protestantic work ethics, low taxes, low job security but many entrepreneurs, easy loans and a lot more ressources than any other western country.

You do know public colleges exist, right? They're really cheap if not free, but everybody wants to go to an expensive private university. I did my Masters online at a British university, it doesn't say anywhere on the diploma that it was online and many people will start to do the same so costs will drop dramatically. The problem is about to fix itself and COVID helped a little.

I also know that public colleges aren't really worth it.
Anyway, the online master sounds like a great idea and might actually help, I absolutely see your point. :)
