While true, things that are confined to those spaces have a tendency to not stay confined to those places.

My exact point is that Krugman is NOT a dumbass, economy is just not a real science.

On one hand, that's an incredibly accurate desciption of things, but on the other, there is a genuine conspiracy-like control exerted by the forces behind America's "global economic empire", which somehow manages to be neither global, nor strictly economic, nor definitely an empire. One of the better examples of that is that America really should have crashed and burned in 2008, if not like the Great Depresssion, than at least like Russia in the 90s. They've been living on borrowed time for almost 20 years now and the whole demented hydra is somehow still alive, to the point where nothing-ever-happens normies look more in the right than anyone doing even the most basis analysis.
There is actually no way to say whether they're completely retarded or incredibly competent, because their stated goals very obviously do not match their intended goals, but without knowing the actual goal, you can't pass a judgement on competency. But if their goal was to temporarily extend the economic life of America's ailing economy, they've definitely succeeded spectacularly. In a twisted way, it's a testament to what can be done when state control of the incredibly complex economic system isn't in hands of retarded communists, but is rather controlled by, for the lack of a better term, "statist economists".
I personally like Trump, and agree with a lot of his analysis on America's economy (off-shoring, tariffs, immigration, scope-size-and-quality of the military), with the caveat that it's hard to tell what's his opinion and what's the opinions he picked from his smarter advisors, but in the current state of things, trying to unfcuk this situation might actually bring about its collapse sooner than how much time it could have by all the hacking into the system. And, of course, who ever ends up holding the proverbial bomb in his hands as it explodes will be remembered as the one who set it off. I definitely do not envy him.
