I'm kept awake by the fact that in every language the Earth, Sun, Moon, Milky Way and all other planets, moons and whatnot are called differently .....every language has different names for these things .....if aliens came here and asked (somehow) what we call this planet they'd get a different answer in almost every country

This is true. But to an Alien, would the idea that hundreds of different writing / talking systems exist on a single planet be a sign that the majority contain vast intellegence and creative thinking all in unique ways, or a sign that we are divided and weak for not unifying our basic communication.

i don't think those two are the only options they could think of ....i mere human can think of many, and someone so inteligent who can travel through galaxy would be able to construct ideas so complex we can't even come close to it .....so yes they would very quickly realize that civilizations evolved in groups rather than a worldwide whole with which come respective changes, which they could immediately put together and understand everything far deeper than we understand it now and bla bla bla that's not the point
