You're talking as if the only existing punishment is that of the afterlife...
Also, he said they created a replica. He never said that the people were just emotionless robots.
And even if you feel like you don't need any guilt anymore, since the people aren't real, that would also mean that you would be less excited by everything, since the people aren't real.
...
That being said, if "hell" would be my life as it currently is, with the same opportunities, and possibilities for growth and everything, that would be pretty cool.

You misunderstand what I meant.
"The comic implied that this is the only punishment this person gets so I was reacting to that scenario."
What I'm saying is that there exists more punishment in the scenario than just living.
You think you could do whatever in your real everyday life, if heaven and hell didn't exist?
Even if heaven and hell doesn't exist, AND you're a sociopath or a psychopath, you would not be able to just do anything and everything.
Punishment exists in the real world. Violence, jail, isolation. Possibly illness, and injury too.
You think you could do whatever the *** you wanted, if you were in a simulation that was an accurate copy of your actual life?
Of course not.
In a simulation however, it's true, that you wouldn't have to worry about the feelings of others.
In this scenario it is not a simulation. This is a copy.
You think I am the one misunderstanding, when I think the feelings of others mean something, even if I won't be punished with hell for hurting them?
I guess you're different from me. I possess empathy. I have a conscience.
My life is better, when people are happy, than when they're not. It's better when I'm a good person.
...
So I disagree with you on several levels:
Hell is not the only existing punishment.
The feelings of other people matter.
...
One important detail though that would make it an improvement from my normal life is, that I wouldn't have to fear death.

I agree that it doesn't seem like that bad of a hell scenario.
But, tl;dr of my last comment:
I disagree with you in two ways:
Hell is not the only existing punishment.
The feelings of other people matter.
